You can’t break anything
One of the biggest benefits of sandbox environment is that it lets you test and toy around with software without having to worry about screwing anything up.
That’s why Google Analytics has a demo account and why Webflow lets you test their templates on the fly.
But it’s also a useful paradigm for many things that have nothing to do with software.
Going to the party with the precondition that if you royally embarrass yourself you don’t have to come back next time can be a great way to push yourself to go out.
Same goes for pretty much anything that only feels like a risk. Meeting it with the notion that it’s not forever, that you can do it once and never do it again, can be a great motivator.
Sure, it might not make the nerves go away. But it can give you some semblance of peace of mind knowing that no matter what, it won’t shatter you or fracture your confidence.
