Word finding is a fruitless shortcut
A large part of the modern marketer’s job is finding the ‘keywords’ and phrases people use to find the content they are interested in finding online.
Which would ordinarily be okay. Except that raising your ‘keyword-density’ to the point where it actually gets you results exceedingly produces poorly written content.
That’s why there’s so much ‘choppy content’ out there that seems like it was written by and for a machine, because it is. And that’s ironic.
Because if it reads like a robot wrote it, sure, you might get clicks…people might even read the stuff (and you might even convince yourself your doing a good job) but that doesn’t mean anyone is going to come back for more.
Writing ‘great’ content for robots at the expense of writing mediocre content for your readers can undermine your entire marketing strategy. And that’s a waste.
Consider a better alternative: Write something meaningful and thoughtful, for a human who cares. Forget about keywords and phrases and long-tail questions, and create content that matters, instead.
If your fans like what you have to say enough, they'll probably be inclined to buy what you have to sell.
