What is marketing?

I know a business that has several one-star reviews on their GMB listing.

The reason? Bad driving.

Their reps have apparantly driven a few people off the road, or at least made them feel that way.

If what they do has nothing to do with driving on the freeway but their their reviews are negatively impacting their performance, is encouraging them to do something about it considered marketing?

It's not promotion and hype. It's the opposite. It's damage control. But make no mistake, it's marketing.

Marketing is telling a story that sways your customer’s perceptions. It's about defining who you are and what you never do, just as much as what you have to offer.
