‘What are the best times to post?’
The internet will tell you that the best time to post a blog is between 9 and 11-am, weekdays.
That the best time to post a newsletter is between 8am and 4pm on Wednesdays or Thursdays.
And that the best time to post to social media is “Tuesday at 5pm, Wednesday and Friday from 8-9am, and Sunday from 10pm to 3am.”
Of course, this mentality completely discards the idea that: a) Your clients and customers may not fall in the middle of a normal distribution. b) The majority of your readers will read your content when they see it, not when you publish it.
There is no best time to post for everyone. And if you’re marketing to the few who matter (not everyone), treating different people differently (as you should), and singularly focused on consistently distributing quality content, you’d recognize that it really doesn’t matter.
Trying to hit a standardized, magical window of time is a distraction.
