Waiting on perfect
Could you imagine what our culture would look like everyone waited on perfect?
If the performers in all the greatest shows prolonged their acts until everything was flawless, beyond a shadow of a doubt?
How many concerts would have to be canceled, how many episodes of SNL scrapped, how many blog posts like this one abandoned.
Indeed, the show must go on. Because if it doesn’t, if we wait on perfect, the show might not exist at all.
So no. Your next post, your next project, your next performance, they don’t have to be perfect.
They just have to exist.
Maybe if you do it a little everyday, you’ll learn to perform better than yesterday. To write a little clearer, or play a lick better or not let your nerves throw you off.
But that’s not the point. Because the point (as you might have guessed) is to put on a show.
