Ubuntu is a worldview

”Ubuntu” is a South African phrase that means “I see you.”

Not literally, of course. But as a way to express dignity.

To acknowledge our shared humanity.

To say, “I see the person—the human—in you.”

Because the best way around “us” vs. “them” is to embrace that “they are us.”
