The philosopher's admonition
Well off people are not necessarily those who see the world the most clearly.
That’s why many rich officials and influencers aren’t often right, and why (poor) political activists, teachers and leaders more often are.
It’s also why starting a blog like this one won’t make you famous or make you rich.
That’s not to say that making a practice out of trying to see the world more clearly and accurately--whether by writing, reading or doing--shouldn’t be a lifetime goal. Or that it can’t help you tremendously along the way.
But it is saying that, if you hope that it alone will somehow make you healthy, wealthy or well-known, just for the nerve of having done it, you’re nuts.
