The innovation myth
We so often handicap ourselves by accepting the belief that inventiveness is some sort of miraculous synthesis of original thought and creative stimulus.
I don’t think that’s true at all. It’s far simpler.
Innovation is borrowing ideas.
Taking a concept from a place far far away, and applying it to your current problem. Uncovering solutions from other disciplines, ideologies or people.
Convincing yourself you have to do all the work yourself is a trap.
