Success and scales
The digital scale I use for measuring the dose for my morning cup of coffee recently broke, and I’ve since had a hard time making it the same way.
It reminded me how “success” can be liked to a digital scale.
Success is mainly about creating systems that help you do what you need to do to improve, grow, and be effective. Be it measuring how much spice you’re adding to a recipe or how much weight you’ve lost recently, a scale is one such system.
It’s more effective than guessing or relying on intuition. And it allows you to assess what you’re doing (or what you’ve done) in a manner that helps you easily determine what to do next.
You can't improve what you can't measure, and you don’t just stumble your way to success.
Systems make the difference.
