Subsisting without validation
When you're in a conversation and someone says something you don't like, what do you?
Do you argue? Do you shout? Do you let it phase you?
Or do you let it be? Acknowledging the inevitability of its passing. That even if they don't get the joke or embrace your worldview, you will be fine, and your problems will likely solve themselves, either way.
In a quarrelsome world, silence is the best respite.
