Strange alchemy
When making Avengers Infinity War, the Russo brothers came up with a word to describe the convergence of characters from different franchises, noting how the cross-pollination of contrasting or complimentary characters made for a better crossover. That’s true.
Similarly, Morgan Housel argues that you can learn more about your industry from studying other industries, than by attempting to learn everything you can about it in a vacuum. Also, probably, true.
Perhaps proactively facilitating “strange alchemy” in our projects, in our education, and even in our organizations is one fine way to nurture creativity and not stifle it.
