How about Aaron Franklin? Or Amanda Palmer? Or Jason Fried?

What about Josh Hanagarne or Luise Vindahl or Kai Brach?

If you know who they are, you would know they are in their own right.

Maybe not world-renown, but widely-known, at least in the small communities they occupy.

The thing is, I doubt any of these celebrities spend any amount of time concerned with what Selena Gomez is doing today.

No. They got there by building a tribe.

By consistently showing up. By caring enough to continue to create and share their art. By building a body of work as much as a body of loyal fans and followers.

You don’t reach stardom by people watching. You get there by reaching for it.
