Regret minimization

‘Which choice, out of many choices, will I end up regretting the least?’

I can’t think of a better question to ask when you’re faced with making a big decision.

One corollary being that, if you make a choice that has an unfortunate outcome, but one that you don’t regret, it makes no sense to feel bad because of the way things turned out.
