Out of practice

Long-time readers of this blog can probably tell I’ve recently taken somewhat of a break from my regular writing practice.

Not because I don’t want to write or because I don’t have the time.

But mainly because, recently, it doesn't come out the way I want it to.

It’s not perfect. It’s not easy. It doesn’t flow or it doesn't rhyme.

It occurred to me that this might just be a phase, or, more likely, a condition. That if I just push through it and keep at it long enough I might just come through.

Because I’m not a bad writer. I’m just (temporarily) out of practice.
