Order alters flow
How you organize information impacts what you do with it.
Consider:
A store that changes how you shop by adjusting where things are located. (Point-of-sale displays, end-caps, and eye-level facing are just a few examples.)
A website that makes it easier to find what you’re looking for by updating it’s above-the-fold navigation. (Amazon does this every day.)
Or even something as simple as your priorities. What buckets they go into, the order of those buckets, and where exactly you place them on your calendar, can all have a tremendous effect on your productivity.
Point is, organization matters. Just like layout. Just like design.
Choosing to be careful about where you put things can help a lot.
