Not my customer
Nimby is an acronym people use to describe those who object to there being something in their own neighborhood but don't object to it being somewhere else.
I’ve often felt we should adopt a similar acronoym for people who treat other people with disrespect (or some sentiment of cruelty) because they’ve decided their not their customer.
The recruiter who ghosts her rejects.
The boss who careless about returning his calls.
The salesperson who patronizes amateur buyers.
The teacher who’s snide in their remarks.
It’s true: Not everyone can be your customer. But that doesn’t mean you should treat them as anything but.
