Networks trump silos
I recently started using Twitter to follow people I like.
Something I quickly noticed is that since those that I follow are often interested in the same things, and their followers are interested in the same things, it's inevitable that we'll all benefit from the exchange of ideas. Because no single individual can 'out-think' the community.
That we can dramatically improve our efforts by learning from each other--contributing and consuming ideas unilaterally--as opposed to thinking and working strictly solo, is a pretty radical idea, and one that can be leveraged to make our work and lives significantly better if we choose.
Because it's true: the whole of the hub is worth more than its parts.
