Necessary resistance
Change is doing things you're not used to.
And, with that, learning to regularly step into being someone you're not, on your way to becoming a different (better) version of you.
The reason change is hard (and often scary) is because doing things you're not used to is uncomfortable (sometimes, astonishingly so).
But it's also the only way, by definition, to become the person who habitually and frequently does the things that will enable you to change.
If that's what you want, you can't avoid the discomfort. You're only choice is to embrace it.
