Living in reality
It’s hard to see the world as it is if you navigate it blindfolded to what you’re afraid of knowing, seeing, or experiencing.
Living in reality (in contrast), is relentlessly discovering reality. Acknowledging that you don’t know everything, and that even among the things you think you know, the only way to find out for sure is to seek out the truth.
To lean into the fear and discomfort of experiencing and discovering the world as it is (not how you think it is).
Because maybe that encouter (with your boss, friend, client or attractive somebody) isn’t going to be a failure…and maybe it is.
Maybe raising your hand, speaking up, and being vulnerable, might not work…but it also just might.
The point is, you’ll never know unless you try. And if you’re not willing to do that, you’ll never learn to see actuality from fantasy.
How can you walk straight if you’re blind?
