That might be the single best question to consider before you engage with adversity.
From negative emotions to precarious decisions, to setbacks of all kinds.
Consider: How will this help me achieve my goals? Contribute to a greater sense of self? Actualize my values?
If I look back on this situation six months from now, am I going to be proud of how I carried myself in these moments?
If not, how can I best meet this experience with composure? How can I lean into the groundlessness of the situation with confidence? Perhaps most applicable, how can this benefit me?
It’s hard to lose momentum if you leverage all of life’s available downward slopes.
