Education is an asset, if your return on investment is greater than the opportunity cost of tuition or the time you put in.
Your side-hustle, hobby or creative pursuit might be an asset, if it provides value (financial, or otherwise) beyond the cost of sustainability. All the better for you if it makes you more happy or less likely to waste your resources chasing empty pursuits.
