Intent makes all the difference

Batman is the story of a man’s intent to clean up a corrupt city without resorting to the same sort of behavior that made it so villainous in the first place.

That’s what makes Batman Batman. Otherwise, he'd be another rich thug.

Nevermind that this is striking example of what we don’t see in politics today (but should), it’s an important reminder.

Everything begins with intent. The intent to make a difference, to change something for the better or worse.

Sure, it takes work to bring it to fruition, but unless we’re conscious of the intent behind our actions (and those of others), it’s hard to draw the distinction between what we’re doing and why it’s important.
