If your not hurting anyone…

It’s reasonable to want more than essential.

It’s fine to consume more than you need.

It’s okay to commit a senseless act of idiocy.

Or is it?

It’s all fun and games if not one gets hurt. Except that somewhere, someone is hurting. All the time.

Perhaps the opportunity cost of being consumed by avarice and self-interest and ignorance isn’t insignificant at all.

Because it might mean the opportunity to make a difference that’s far from frivolous, and ways away from inconsiderate.
