How to not have a productive day
11:00 - Stay up late watching tv and eating junk food
1:00 - Lay in bed and wonder why you can’t sleep
10:00 - Sleep in late because you need sleep
10:10 - Skip your routine meditation session so you can save 20 minutes
10:20 - Graze on snack food because there's nothing in the fridge to eat
11:00 - Not make a to-do list because you feel like “you got this” and you don’t have enough time
11:15 - Spend your morning sitting in your room doing urgent but not important tasks
12:30 - Spend an hour eating lunch and checking email
1:00 - Spend the afternoon in limbo between doing productive work, daydreaming and chatting with people on social media
3:00 - Take another break to check email and make coffee
4:00 - Take another break to write this post
5:00 - Apparently the “work-day” is over, the sun is going down, everyone who has a real job is going home, why not you?
6:00 - Enthusiastically decide to spend an hour of your disposable time learning new skills so you can, at some point, start a side-hustle or land a better job, only to spend the time internet surfing and texting your girlfriend every 20 minutes
7:00 - Skip cooking the healthy meal you planned on making because you don’t feel like cooking
8:00 - Skip the the late-night gym session you planned on doing because you’re not in the mood
9:00 - Call your girlfriend and talk for an hour
10:00 - Watch the the latest season of Black Mirror until about midnight
12:00 - Spend an hour looking at the ceiling because you can’t sleep because you spent two hours looking at a blue-light emitting, circadian-rhythm distorting, insomnia-inducing machine
