How to get the most out of your relationships
Open up a google doc sometime and write down the names of your 10 (or 50) closests friends, family members, or colleagues.
Write down almost everything you can recall about them: hobbies, interests, goals, ambitions, anecdotes, insights, etc.
Everytime you see that person, try to find out a little something to add to your list. Be curious. Ask open-ended questions. Listen (intently), and learn.
Actively listening to a friend talk at length about herself can make a friend for life. Much harder to do by listening to yourself.
