How much does it cost?
If you provide a service, one the most frequently asked questions you’re going to get asked is how much it costs.
That seems obvious, because most people need to know how much it costs to determine how much they can afford. And, because, with it being a service and not a tangible good, it can be hard for anyone to assess how much they should pay for it.
Unfortunately, many service providers tend to shy away from openly sharing how much their services cost, for the simple reason that it tends to vary by the level of service provided, and because no one likes to give exact figures that might change later.
An alternative that might work for some is to simply charge a little more than you think your worth—and to overdeliver. Not to rip off your customers, but to charge a fair price for a job well done. And to be transparent and upfront about how much it’s going to cost them in the first place.
