Get it done
Sam Bennett has written a wonderful book on how to get stuff done.
Who knew that if you just worked on something for 15 minutes a day—everyday—(ideally at the same time and place) you’d have no trouble doing/completing/attaining all of it.
Something I’ve found particularly useful is to apply this concept to time-consuming tasks that I know I need to do, or would like to do have done, but don’t particularly find entertaining. Examples include: completing certification courses, doing my taxes, working on creative/portfolio projects, researching something, or getting a passport.
This is because, while it’s pretty easy to spend 3 hours working on something I enjoy, it’s difficult for me to even want to make any amount of time for something I know I won’t.
15 minutes a day, of course, is nothing. So it’s easy enough to arrange and to do. And, if you do it consistently, it adds up—so you’ll inevitably get your projects done whether you come to like them or not.
Because then, it’s merely a matter of time. Not if, or when.
