Easy money
The thing about working for ‘easy money’ is that it robs you of the focus and time that it takes to do one (single) thing (incredibly) well.
That one thing might be ‘hard money’ to earn in the short run. But it pays off long term because there’s far less competition.
Ultimately, scarcity is what creates value. Committing to doing one single thing, obsessing over the details, and putting in the hard work it takes to master it (while forgoing easy money) are what make that scarcity possible.
