Don’t edit too early
Something you’ll learn quickly as a writer (or researcher) is that some of your best ideas come from simply getting them out of your brain and onto the page.
Which means that, if you’re so worried about concision that you edit too early, you might just delete or forget or omit something entirely invaluable.
The trick is to get everything out there first, and then take your time revising and retouching and connecting the dots.
Otherwise you might carve out a chunk too soon.
