Collaborative tempo
Generally, we all have our default pace. Our routine, habitual, ingrained idea of how much effort we can expend in a day.
Which means that when someone comes in at a faster clip than you, it can both be inspiring, and intimidating.
Without a doubt, someone who learns fast, who hits the ground running, and who creates more momentum and connection in the first few hours than most do in a week, is a force to be reckoned with.
The choice that matters is whether you choose to keep up.
Do you reset your expectations, and strive to meet (or exceed) their progress? Or do you linger and lagger and largely fall behind?
