So why do people continue to indulge in non-fiction books, blogs like this one, or educational podcasts?
I don’t think it has anything to do with access to knowledge. That’s what the internet is for.
No, the reason people consume from these sources is because of curation and direction.
Curation, because it’s easier to find what you’re looking for when it’s specific.
Direction, because getting to where you want to go is easier when you have a guide.
People and anecdotes and ideas pave the way. They define the zeitgeist we’ll write about and hear about and post and publish tomorrow.
