A remarkable job post
I love everything about this job post.
It’s well written. Explicit. Culturally-conscious. And, above all, no nonsense.
The folks at Akimbo know what to look for in a great candidate. And, even better, what not to look for. Best of all, the’re unapologetic about their values.
I wish more employers could get on board the same band-wagon. To do the hard work of thinking about (and expressing) what’s important (about what’s worth looking at and into in an applicant) and what’s simply a waste of time.
Because the alternative—false evidence appearing real, faulty metrics, biased reporting, and bad interviews—is clearly not how you create a forward-thinking company.
In fact, I’d argue it’s a recipe for moving backwards.
