A case for CBT
For those who don’t know, Aaron Beck passed away last week.
Aaron Beck was known for a great many things. One of them is cognitive behavioral therapy—a method he invented that’s changed (and possibly saved) thousands of lives.
The gist of it is this: problems appear less complicated (and intimidating) when they're broken down into parts than when they are seen as an undivided whole.
You can overcome almost anything by breaking it down into manageable bits, and then focusing on amending the latter to overcome or improve the former.
Changing the way you act and feel by embracing new moods, mindsets, and habits.
