500 hours
That’s how much time you’ll spend in your car annually if you commute for an hour to work each day.
Which raises the very real issue, what are you going to do with that time?
Certainly, you could spend it doing absolutely nothing. Or honing your ability to beat Shazam. (Nothing wrong with that.)
But you could also spend most of it (or all of it) listening to something that makes you smarter, more aware, or more cogent. A habit that could make you incrementally better in the roles you fill (be it being a parent, teacher, leader, employer or employee).
What’s indubitably metamorphic is when those 500 hours compound. When the connections you make beget other connections, and when 500 hours become five-thousand or ten.
